2008 Manufacturers Week Resolution

Dear Regional Manufacturing Associations

We are gearing up for the 2008 Manufacturer of the Year Awards.  The announcement and criteria should be out later this week. 

In that regard, we will be seeking 3-4 judges from each region (using the Sterling Council regions (http://www.floridasterling.com/showcase-region.html)  

• Panhandle to Jefferson County
• North Central
• Tampa Bay
• Central
• Southeast
• Southwest

We expect volunteers to spend approximately 3 days in volunteer time between August and November. The assignment will entail some training of volunteers by telephone, review of your assigned nominees’ applications, phone interviews, and a site visit to the finalists. The more volunteers we have the less time any one person will need to spend on this project.

Those who have served as judges in the past say it is interesting, enlightening and rewarding!  Please circulate our request to your colleagues and send me the names and contact info for those who would like to serve in this capacity for the 2008 awards.  Volunteer names should be sent to MACF staff by July 10.
